got a new x-tarra 30 two weeks ago, with selling my business and retiring today is the first time i had to get out. a friend is redoing a old 1836 house out in the middle of know where so i gave it a shot. lots of memorial cents & trash but i did manage to get a 1941 merc,1853 &1847 lg cents and lots of clad. i don't know how to post pictures yet but as soon as i do i will post pictures.
i love this new technology, its a great detector compaired to what i was used to 17yrs ago. i guess I'm hooked again.
I've been searching for cw encampment sites on the internet for months, and i finally found one right across from my house, its only been hunted by one guy twice years ago so I'm excited to get to that.

ps. if my old hunting partner is on this site (gene salvino) drop me an e-mail at [email protected]

Great digs,,, what a way to come back, huh?
Good luck, & Happy hunting~

using x-terra 30, did a lot of reading and thought it would be a good machine to get started with and I'm very happy with it, great depth and i love the pinpointing. the 53 lg cent was next to a tree and in very fluffy soil both were 4to5" deep.

wife is on other computer making reservations for myrtle beach for the weekend. spent three days there last weekend but it was to cold and windy to do anything. hope to get a little time on the beach to do some beach hunting. luckily its only a hour and fifteen minute drive. better get packing. i will post when i get back.

WOW. I hate to see what you do when you really get back in the swing of things..............I've never dug a large cent, and I've been at this over 25 years. GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck at the beach, too.

Roger
