E9CDF07F-C6E9-45DA-8E34-35626E2CB455.jpegDid a little exploring with friends this weekend and it paid off. I found some cavalry items and an 1859S 1/2 dollar. That’s my oldest coin. Found a sword hook, an epaulet, an eagle button, and a 3 ringer. Seated half is another one of those bucket listers for me!! Great finds!!

Beautiful Seated Half, Congrats!

Very Nice!!!!! Congrats!!!!!

Good god man. What a find... I dug my first seated anything last week. This coin puts my quarter to shame. Congrats!!!

Congrats on the half dollar and the other relics. You bullet is post civil war, as opposed to a classic 3 ring minie ball. Probably a 45-70 round, Indian Wars period.

The site is mixed with a cavalry presence from 1862-1864. Found some Henry shell casings with two marks on outer rim. I’m assuming they were the culprit.

Great site and sounds like you know your history. Keep swinging!

Gorgeous 1/2 Dollar accompanied by some fine relics!:occasion14:

I already thought you had a good hunt... I kept scrolling and saw that seated half. :headbang:
