First Time Arrowhead Hunting South Texas Need some help id'ing

Hey All,

Tejasdigger and I was able to go out to his South Texas property to look for Arrowheads and other Artifacts this past weekend.

We had a blast and I found my first point. Its crazy how much we sifted and busted our asses, and on my walk back from getting water, I found it in the middle of our walking path.

It was a small one, but from what I was told, its a good one for my first find. I also found what I belive is a broken Mano

I also found this hardend piece of an antler inside the midden, Not sure if it was a tool, or just a random find

Any help on these would be great...I really dont know much about North American Artifacts.

thanks!!

Check out the video of our amazing trip!

Sweet man I build stock tanks on ranchs and I find arrowheads all the time

Great video. Fun to see other areas and I always like the sound of a sifter. New hobby huh? Thanks for sharing your hunt and first find.

Thats a very nice find for your first one actually for anyone.

Good stuff... do you think someone "salted" the path?

Oh Yea, Ive always loved History of this country, and finding something this old is a great feeling. Thanks for watching!

Are you saying the "someone" is me? The "pathway" is a dirt road that leads from the cabin to a deer feeder that is close to the middens. A bulldozer created the road or "path". I'm the only one that was with him and I own the place. No, I didn't "salt" the site. It would be pretty stupid to put a bird point in the middle of the desert on a dirt road and expect for someone to find it. All the finds are legit. Thanks for posting.

Congrats on the Point Scott! A little thin thing like that was washed up in a hard rain bounced around a little on them rocks. It aint salted either I know these boys they dont salt. Ive hunted a field one day had a little rain that night found a point next day.
