Hello Gentlemen, I found my first "COB" Spanish Half-Reale today. Was wondering if I could get some assistance to find out where it was minted and by who:

Great find Sentinel!

Was this found at the beach? If silver it could be a 1/2 or 1 reale Charles II (CAS). Do you see numbers under the C? Those would be the year (i.e. 684 for 1684). What is its weight?

Moe, this wasn't found on the beach but in a colonial area. Don't see a date on it but do see a "CA" on the back Was told that it is an early cob which I concur...1/2 reale
