I have been using the Legend for the last 4 weeks and I am really liking it. I have found probably 20 wheat pennies and a couple of Buffalo nickels, but no sliver coins. I was starting to believe that there my be a software issue. The Etrac had a problem with where large silver hit on the screen. It was very easy to fix this problem.
Saturday I did not do a morning hunt because of obligations so I decided to hunt a school a couple of miles from home. I have not found anything but clad at this place for the last three years or so. I only go here for clad hunting and quick hunts. My first find was a wheat pennies from 6 inches with a piece of wire in the hole. A couple of clad coins later, I found another wheatie approaching 8 inches deep. I got a very nice 48-50 signal in an area where I had found silver years ago. I saw the rim of what looked like silver from about 8 inches deep and it was a silver roosie. The Lengend hit it hard. Two feet away I found another wheatie. Three wheats and a silver dime in a one hour hunt is a good day for me.
If a person does not want to spend 1000-1500 bucks, this is the detector for you. I have yet to use the 6 inch coil, but is will be hard to take the big coil off and give it a chance. Well done Notka!
