Hello everone i was trying to hold back and show my finds in order. But i wanted to share with you my first silver.I had been hunting parks and old sites with not much success. My mother in law told me of where she grew up and i quickly saw it was a great place to hunt.As you can see in the pics the weeds were very high. And i saw a copperhead soon as i started hunting. But my love for mding took over and i dove in.I started with the usual places around the perimeter of the house and the front door to the road.It was very hot and i went to get a drink from my blazer when i got a very big hit.I dug maybe three inches and got the walker.Man was i excited my first silver and it was a walker.I didn't wait to wash it off i spat on it and rubbed it clean.Needless to say i spent several days there and later found my best find ever.I will post it when i get better pics.Oh its a 1943 s my pics of it bite. Thanks for reading Wolfbite PS my son will be coming this weekend i will get him to show me how to take better pics.He got married last year its how i got back into the hobby(more time)I gave him my all.

Hehe... it seems like some of the fun is just knowing that you have discovered a spot that SHOULD yeild up some winners...
Super find- you are making me rethink my decision to avoid the Ace 250. Thanks for the pics.

Way to go with the Walker! However!: don't spit on it and rub it clean! You probably put lots of little hairline scratches in it. I learned the hard way. Can't wait to see what the better find is.

That's one heck of a first.......very nice ...a walking liberty is up there with my favorites. I gave up on the kids trying to show me how to work a computer and post picturers....Now I show them!!!! I reversed the trend. We older guys can do it...it just takes a little more time....

Congrats on that walker. You don't have to have perfect pics to show us a job well done and that you're excited. You also learned not to spit shine the coin, good stuff.

A most excellent first silver! My first silver was a Walker too, except it had two holes drilled in it. Ahh well, silver is silver! Great find in great shape!

Wow, That is one Sweet Lady you found there. I was looking at your post and what a surprise I got. I thought for a minute that the picture was mine. HA Ha.

I posted a picture not to long ago, just like yours. I'll post the picture here. Hope you like it, I sure liked yours. Can I make a suggestion. I used to use a digger like yours and after going through a dozen of them, I finally ended up buying a Stainless Steel Digger, especially made for detecting. You can buy them from your local dealer or here on the net.

P.S. My find was a Silver Washington Quarter

Again, Great First Silver Find!

My first silver was a Walker as well, what a rush when I turned that plug over and saw that big silver staring up at me. Congratulations man and hit that spot hard, it looks like a great location.

That's a beautiful coin. Congratulations!
