I went back to my super secret Jr G-Man badge location this afternoon. The soaking rains we had yesterday were just what the doctor ordered. Even with the Eclipse DD coil the coal ash makes it tough as it somehow gives plenty of false signals that often sound off as one you would want to dig.

Taking it slow I scanned areas that I had gone over a few days ago. First target rang as a solid penny/dime. Nope, the Yale key. It looks like it was stamped by a locksmith in Northumberland, PA. Next was the sinker. It too rang in as a penny. Well upon pulling it out and rescanning, the reed decided to show its face. It was right below the sinker. After digging the penny, nickel and valve stem caps mother nature decided to send more weather our way. " thunderheads are rumbling in distant overture". I could hear the thunder getting closer as I was swinging the coil on the way to the back door. Another penny dime signal stopped me. I dug down about six inches to find the first silver since getting the DFX in March!! A pistol marksman award. Finally!! I was starting to wonder if it was capable of doing so. Nope, I did not find the rest of the medal. Who cares, I finally found silver :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Grazie Nick!!! To have the last plug give up my first silver was a "righteous" gift from someone how proudly served our country. Wish I could have found the rest of the medal :(

Johnny, I can't wait to get one with the DFX. I scored a few with my Classic ID last year. I've been hooked since the first time I swung a coil :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
