So, i have been out with my new AT Pro a few times, maybe 8-10 hours all together. I havent been to a decent site yet though, basically hitting spots that have targets of junk, tweeners and some coins here and there... This is just so i can learn everything i can before exploring new areas. I used to swing a little faster using the my White's XLT, as i was taught to swing a little quicker/stronger, but not like you see some people doing on the beaches!! Like swatting flies!! In my many hours of reading feedback on my new detector, i grasped onto a very recent tip given here on TreasureNet... And that is go SLOW and LOW... I have always scrubbed the ground, so LOW i could do. But getting the speed backed down (especially in the junky metal strewn fields) is what i was out to practice...
Well, 45 minutes into the search yesterday, i finally got a big screamer BING in between 'hundreds' of low and mid level grunts and beeps. Using the pinpoint was tough since there were so many other targets in the area, i just used my hand and eye coordination to locate my dig site... Glad to say that my hands and eyes are calibrated pretty well and i was able to pop out my first silver of the year and also my first silver with my NEW, Awesome, Garrett AT PRO!!!
