Back to home demo site today.Yesterday got my first wheat there, today first silver, a nice 1953 Rosie! at 8+ inches. Also a 1965 quarter(dang) another 80's dime, and a bunch of Memeorial pennies 1971-1980's. Been dying to get to this site, 1930-40's house gone rural half acre lot with drive and a great big tree, all the coins have been found where the drive stopped in front of where the garage used to be. But it is real real trashy 100_6363.JPG100_6364.JPG:hello2:

Congrats! How's it go sans-Pro Pointer?

I stopped at Harbor Freight and got their $17 special. It is not in the class with Garrett Pro Pointer, when it comes to distance for detection, it has to be with in an inch tops. But for $17, I am sure it helped me find my first silver, in this wet, sticky, Michigan mud, that was around the hole, made my day a lot more enjoyable. For long term use.......I'll stick with Pro Pointer

I didn't know they made one! Do you have the name so I can find it on their site? My dad detects in TX without a pin pointer (and doesn't know why he can't find anything after he digs a hole, lol). I'd like to get it for him.

It is a Cen-Tech Hand Held Metal Detector Item 97245. Even has a sensitivity adjustment, Like I said for $17 it works............ 9 volt battery included

Thanks. I actually laughed out loud when seeing it.

Way to go.I'd say there's probably a few more there.

Make sure He holds the red button in .....or he still wont find anything!! ha ha

Amazing how the same soil, affects, clad and silver coins differently. These were all in a 10x10 area

Nice silver!

I'll take the HF pinpointer any day over a $150 one. I get almost 2" on coins with the sensitivity up high.... even more on quarters and other larger targets.

While not as much as many, I am sure, I dug and pinpointed roughly 1.5k targets last year with one. I bought a new one for this year just to have a new one- old one still worked and will be a nice backup.

Going to be though to top the last couple days.........first Wheat, then next day first silver. Lets see, first ring, first Merc, first silver quarter? lots of possibilities, I better get going, its light out!!! :laughing7:
