Not much of a story but i'll try. Pulled up to a park that used to be a school from the 20s. Found some old photos and figured out that the old looking stairs at the park that lead to the tennis courts are actually the old school front steps. So I pulled past the steps and started swinging not 5 ft from the car two feet from the old stairs and maybe 4 inches down she laid. I'll start bringing the camera with me as to paint a better picture for ya… I mean i'm already metal detecting its not like i'm busy or anything. Think its cool my first one just snuck it at 64 too. seems fitting. ;D o yeah this was the first thing I dug stayed there another two hours and found some clad and my first dog tag but mostly trash. Knew I should have just left after that. :laughing7:

So true . I also live in NY. Like said go back and back some more It sounds likje you did the research now go find what your detector is telling you on those iffy hits. I went to a park that was "hunted out " and well I learned that 30 mercs were down and deep along with a quarter and 6 silver Rosies. My friend speaks the truth. There is more , slow and steady and you will be posting some great finds . Rob :coffee2:

nope, the good times never end.

Congrats on your first silver quater!!!!! I got mine about 3 months ago. I got my second silver quarter on my paper route where I have to collect from boxes. I usually collect around $400 in quarters a week. My first week I found a 1954 silver quater.

Never leave a site? I don't live real far away from this place, maybe 3 mins away. so I felt it was ok after a 3 hr hunt to leave it.
Do md'ers in york bring tents in case they find silver and cant leave the site? :laughing7: thanks for the tips guys.

Congrats on your first of many!!!

Of course you would find your silver at my favorite spot while I am home for the weekend.

RUDE.
