Hit a house in Chicago Heights that's getting ready to be torn down on Sunday and again yesterday am in the rain. Pulled out a 43 and 44 Merc along with wheats 1913-1944 and a bunch of clad.
Ironically, my first signal on Sunday was the 43 Merc two feet from my car and my last signal yesterday morning in the rain was the 44 Merc on my way back to the car.
Hope the pics come out ok from my scanner.

Kimsdad,
It was either yesterday am or this morning. I chose 36 and raining over the snow and wind chill.
After 1.5 hours I was pretty wet and muddy but the end result was a good one.

Makton,

Nice scores! You have officially joined the ranks of everyone else on this forum that has managed to elicite envy out of me. I can't wait to get out there and dig some REAL coins, not just a wheat here or there...I've got a few areas in mind, let's hope my judgement is good. We need to get together again, maybe we'll work something out this spring.

makton,
very nice.

Big CONGRAT on that first silver of the year.

Silver is always nice. ;D

Had an uncle, small hobby farm in New Lenox; worked the
prison +. I was just a kid (1950's); town was very, very small. Sure
has changed.

Get over into New Lenox now
and again.

Hit the old VFW there prior to the fire. Few drinks. ;D

In the past I hunted that old wooded area across the creek from
the new V.F.W. . Noticed they are putting in houses, last time
I was in town. . :(

have a good un................

Way to go bud!
Those are a couple of nice looking coins. Glad you were able to get out, even though the weather was crappy. It won't be long until we're doing this in tee shirts (and pants). ;D
