over 30 years, I would find them at the beach when the kids where small and I would only spend about 1/2 hr MDing the rest of the time was with the wife and kids.

This one is a 1951s Franklin in fair condition lots of scratches also found a 69d Roosie.
on an empty lot they took out an old building and 8 to 10 inches of soil not sure why?
I have done about 1/4 of the lot so far hope there is more...

Silver halves a pretty rare and they tickle me to death to find them. Way to go there!

Nice half!
Hope you have great luck on the rest of the lot - keep us posted!

yo Norcal

From the land of the Bluenose...that is a big chunk of silver here me bouy. Those if anything like here in Canuckland are scarce. A mere 6 in 33 years for this bouy. Hope the area turns up more for you! ;D

I've found 6 older Walkin' Halves...but not one Franklin...another coin that seems to elude me... ;)

Congrats on a great find!
