Metal Detecting
Hi everybody,
Got some time in my back yard again yesterday. Still digging up a bunch of nails. But peppered in were a few good finds.
Firstly.. that beautiful 1957 Roosevelt Dime!! I haven’t even rinsed it off yet. Very excited to see that appear.
Looks like a toy soldiers rifle and wind-up key. 2 bullets. 2 pennies. Broken key and a few other bits.
Had a nice encounter with a lady on her bike as well. She rode by and said, “Are you metal detecting? That’s awesome!!” Wished me luck and went to lock up her bike. I hadn’t found anything but nails until this point (about and hour and a half)… then out pops a marble. She walked passed and asked what I was finding. Showed her my nails and the fresh marble. She was so excited to see it that I gave it to her and thanked her for the good vibes. Directly after came the toy soldier stuff. Followed up with that pretty dime find. Sweet karma ;)
Thanks for looking and good luck! Kenny :hello:

Lol bullets in your backyard! I thought that only happens out west, I found a shotgun casing in my yard, right in the middle of town! Nice Rosie, looks in great shape. dale

Thanks Dale! I'm as surprised with the bullets as you! Although my area of Chicago is nice now, there was a time when the gangs had total control. I assume they're related. These are actually my second and third bullets. The other was in a park near me.

Looks like there should be more good things in your yard...get at em! ;) Did you mean that was your first silver ever or the first from your yard location? Congrats anyway!

Thanks guys! That's actually my second silver from the ground but first for my back yard.
