- Metal Detecting
I've not been able to metal detect too much since my car accident back in April of this year. The heat and skeeters have been brutal also when I was able to go. This morning I went to a new spot with my Teknetics T2 SE. I decided to try the factory coil. It was really not showing me anything good, but sure did pick out the iron and bottlecaps. So out came my favorite coil, The Cors Shrew. Ran back over the same spot and BAM! Got a nice signal and low and behold out pops a 1963 Silver Quarter. The grass was grown up at this place about 3 inches in some places. I ended up finding the beautiful things below. 1939 Mercury Dime, 1951 Rosie Dime, 1963 Silver quarter, and a 1926 wheat penny. The last time I pulled a silver coin while metal detecting was back in 2003. I love my Tekentics T2 SE and Cors coil combo. It has been the most productive unit I've ever owned.
