First silver, but not a coin

In my ongoing search for either a silver coin of some sort or a pre-Lincoln penny, I stopped at a local school tonight and found this earring. It took me awhile to find the .925 but it's there...

Yeah, I've tried the beaches down there, including right after the "Discover Presque Isle" days this past weekend. I've yet to find more than one single dime on any beach down there because everyone with a detector that lives within 50 miles of Erie also goes to the beaches on Presque Isle. So far, my biggest payoffs have come from out-of-the-way parks. My neighbor also MDs, so he's been helping me out a little.

For now anyway, my search for old coins has taken a back seat to finding clad... it's my goal to find $40 in clad before early October to pay for my Trans-Siberian Orchestra ticket.
