The third number in the date was gone 19?7 so has to be 17 or 27

Are there stars beneath the Eagle on the reverse? What about a mint mark on the front?

Type 1 1917 Philly mint (no mint mark). Same one that my little boy found a couple weeks ago! The mintage numbers were somewhere in the mid to high 8 million range. And now I know of three of them that made their way to Kentucky! Again, nice find!
