This was taken with the Canon light ring flash. First is with flash only with no photoshop and second is with adjustments. Do you think its to dark? Or do I got to always be making adjustments with photoshop?

hey gang,
Just got my D40 a couple of weeks ago and here are my first pixs. I did a little with the editing program that came with the camera. Just looking to see if they are ok,bad or ????

That camera takes FANTASTIC macro shots!!! You always took great shots anyway but now you will kill with that thing!

Pegg: Took these in just the macro mode. Have just started to take my pics in the manuel mode with the setting of: Shutter speed 200, fstop 11 and iso 100. Also shooting with a canon macro light ring.
Love the light ring!! I'm so glad I got it .
The seated dime was taken in the manuel mode with those settings, I think I may get a little more detail than in the macro mode.
