First ring

Found my first ring today while hunting a park. It is a sterling Claddagh ring. The heart surrounded by the hands. A Celtic ring I'm told. Learn something new every day.:-)

I found several junk rings before my first (ONLY) gold ring and it's the same design as yours.
I still haven't found a silver ring yet...

Congrats root! I used to have a website bookmarked that told the story of the Irish Claddagh ring, but I don't anymore! Google "Claddagh Ring" and you'll find out some neat history behind it.

Hi Root,
Great find. I have a claddagh ring i didnt find it, it was given to me by an ex girlfriend. The ring was used by people as a marriage ring. The two hands are presenting, a heart. Over the heart is a design representing a crown. There is a saying that accompanies the ring which is: "Let love and friendship reign."
