Pretty ring djkam!
Dainty....

Keep safe and keep diggin'...

as suggested I went to the area noted on google earth, is that area a park and/or wide open for detecting...looks like some evidence of old structures and maybe barrows on the southern side....can you enlighten on the historical info for the area? Thanks and nice ring by the way.

it is free to search as long as you dont destroy anything/follow the rules, if you zoom in at appelscha you can see a small triangular sandspace in the woods to the south, thats one spot, the other is more to the southwest and much bigger near the"canadameer" = lake, local name is kale duinen (bare dunes), its like searching in the desert, with the current temps of 28 degrees c and up the sand is dry and very loose, it took me ten minutes to find the ring because the sand kept filling up the hole where the beep was. (or i'm just to slow ::) )

I see, very nice...ever try getting a beach scoop for the sandy areas, they are great for rapid recovery. I am looking at the larger sand area to the southwest appears to be square rubble patterns on the SE corner near woods and some round barrow looking structures all around as well as immediately north.

yes , i will get one soon as we (me and my buddy) plan to go back there and its a very big area to search. i cant exactly see/find the place youre pointing at but i have another one look it up and see if you can find the ancient fort lying in the woods, its almost near the road! just fill in bakkeveen and search along the duerswaldmer wei. sadly no search allowed there but in the woods surrounding it must be lying something, that waits until the fall because of all the bugs there in summer ,there are losts of wet spots/shallow water.

Nice fort, Attaching areas pushpins I was looking at. Not sure area looks to have a long history some possible ancient villages or homesteads.
