Detector(s) used
White's DFX and Minelab Explorer SE
My first trip out with the new (used) F-75 and I must say, for relic hunting in the poor soil condions, this IS the machine to have. I have used both my Minelab Explorer SE and my White's DFX on this Union campsite in SC and both have struggled to find targets more than 6" due to the soil conditions.

Many of the targets found Saturday were well below, more in the 9-11" mark. I don't think I would ever be able to use the F-75 as a daily coin shooter, but it is a must have relic machine.

Some of the finds include an Eagle cuff button (back reads EXTRA QUALITY) an early flat button (back reads TREBLE GILT STAND D COLOUR - notice the old english spelling of color)) 2 Williams Cleaners, a 3 ringer, a clasp of some sort and some misc what is its.

The weather was perfect, the hunting was great.

Sweet button! CONGRATS! GOOD LUCK NEXT GOAROUND! :icon_thumleft:

Nice digs! I agree the F75 is a great machine! Your eagle button is a staff officers button :icon_thumleft:

Looks like you had a good day. Jeff (umrgolf2010) Uses the F75 I think his finds are testimonial enough for the machines capabilities. :icon_thumleft:

Hey Joe you seem to have an knack for picking up a new detector and kicking some butt and it's no differant with the F-75. Nice Digs
Any idea as to what the spade shaped thing is?

Nice finds Joe. Sorry I couldn't have joined you. Call me earlier next time. ;D
Is that hook piece at the top a CW relic? I swear I've seen one of those before. :icon_scratch:
Congrats,
Doug

Hate you couldn't join us. I have not identified that piece yet. It is copper or brass and did come from the Union campsite. I will have to spend some time researching the finds this winter. LOL. I will let you know when CJ and I are headed the Durham way and we will get up for a hunt.

Otherwise, I am taking next week off and may go back to the campsite one day. Got any vacation time?

I tried to call you Friday night to see if you wanted to go. You didn't answer. Not sure what that is, I have seen one before, just can't remember where :dontknow:

Yeah, I tend to get around pretty good with new detectors...... just a knack I guess.

Joe, you are gonna LOVE that F75. It's a relic magnet. If you get Western & Eastern Treasures Magazine, read my article in the (current) Dec. issue on buying metal detectors regarding the F75.
The bent piece of brass in the first pic on top is a belt adjuster. The brass piece in the 2nd pic is a reed from a musical instrument. HH, Quindy.

I agree. The F75 is a great machine. I own one but it is in Texas getting fixed after it broke down. It's almost up there with the Minelab SE. ;D

Thanks all, already planning my next trip out there. The sabre hook was found in a field I only hit for about a half an hour before moving back up to "bullet hill"

Nice finds!! I'm a Minelab guy (SE Pro, E-Trac), but just bought an F75-LTD....can't wait to try it out!! ;D

Nice finds!! I could be wrong, but, I believe the "Stand D" is an abbreviated "Standard"

sweet finds!!!! MR TUFF
