Out with my son again today, found a cool $1.32 in clad and the usual pull tabs etc. this time we found a ring!

A real ring! :hello2:

Anyway, found a name engraved on the inside, looked her up on the ole interwebs/Facebook while we were in the field and sent her a message. Asked her to forgive the randomness of the question I am about to ask, and asked if she lost something in a football field.

She said she lost a silver ring with a red stone in 2014. I then sent her the picture below. She was ecstatic. Even though the she now lives across the country, within 30 minutes she had her parents meet me and pick it up. The owner and her parents were incredibly appreciative.

Moral of the story, it's easy to be a good dude. Felt it was the right thing to do too because of karma ya know. Plus it was hardly any effort of my behalf.

8-)

HONERABLE MENTION? Nice

Not only was this a good deed. You taught your son a lesson doing it.

Well done.

Great job on the find and return! :occasion14:

Honorable Mention nice class ring return I have a 10k I'm trying to return gotta call the school Good job!!!!! Returning it is more rewarding than keeping it !!! Now if it was a platinum ring with a diamond the size of a double scoop ice cream cone well that's another story. Thanks for the great post!!!!

Nice find, great and honorable deed done! :notworthy:

I found a girls class ring and was able to return it ,It does give you a warm fuzzy feeling doing a good deed.Good job and great that your son was with you.

it's so nice to see another good guy here on Tnet. :icon_thumright: There are many pirates :skullflag: among us. Kudos on the return and the honorable mention. I finally got in contact with the guy who's ring I dug late December, after a few pm's he told me to just keep it. :hello2:

Great job Dad ! I'm sure your son will always remember this.
