I've been reading the posts on here for nearly a month and I decided to finally share my own finds today! It's been wet and rainy for days but it sure made for some easy digging in my yard. My hubby always comments that it looks like we had a giant gopher attack in the yard, but metal detecting is SO addicting. Plus I love the two bracelets (steel?) that I found today. I hope the photo attachment works... The oldest quarter is a 1966; I keep getting closer to finding silver!

Hello from Texas. It is addicting. My wife doesn't understand how much so but after 26 years of marriage she just says that is nice when I show her my finds and Don't year up my yard. Nice finds though. I'm still looking for my first silver. Good luck and have fun hunting.

Thanks, all, for the welcoming messages. And thanks Vpnavy for the heads-up on the sub-forums. I hadn't discovered those links yet. I am from Kansas (southeast corner) and i see there are some other posts from the same area!

Thanks for sharing and happy hunting !
