Hello group. I've been lurking here for the last 5 or so weeks. I'm new at detecting but have been reading this forum since I started, and I thought I'd finally make a contribution to this forum. Following are an assortment of items I've come up with so far (excluding a whole lot of clad and only 2 silver Roosevelts). I've wanted a detector now and again for a long time, finally decided to get what I could afford and chose the M.L. Muskateer. I'm reasonably happy with it, although I know for various reasons I'm not reaching deep, older coins. Till today, it has not rained here (Pleasant Hilll, MO) for about two months so maybe that situation will improve. How much deeper could I expect the minelab slimline 10 inch to be over the 8?
Anyway, the pictures are pretty straight forward. The pocket watch was found at about 7" (No, I can't pick up coins that deep) and was made by the New York Standard Watch Company. They went out of biz. in the mid 20's. All four rings are on the inexpensive side but I had a lot of fun finding them. Oh, if anyone knows the history of the Junior Police badge please reply. It has some heft. Also, I'm curious if anyone can identify the approximate age of either bullets pictured. Take care everyone.
