Hey everyone,

Finally getting the chance to get my last few weeks worth of finds up. Haven't been out alot but got a few good trips in here and there. The weather just got bad though here and now I'm stuck in.

I had a really nice site I wanted to hunt to. But it's gonna have to wait until it warms up some now. I've just been going to a bunch of sites and trying them out.

Nothing great but enough to keep me going. Most of the finds came out of a old park I decided to check out. They did a good job hunting it. But they never get it all.

I know somewhere in this park is a good nook. I just have to find it. Got the first few silvers on the yr though. Got a 64 washington to start it off.

I got a really cool mystery relic for you all to take a guess at before I send the other pics through showing what it is. Everyone but PBK take a guess. Your the man PBK and would figure it out in one guess. I know you lol.

I am more into the unique relics any more than the coins. I do love to find old coins. But it's those cool relics that keep me going. I can learn alot about them.

It will be the first pic in the start of the clean items. I am sure someone out there has seen one before. I am guessing it's from the 40's and 50's. Maybe older don't know though.

Here is a break down of the finds. I am not a master yet on the camers so the pics aren't the best. I could do alot better with the scanner. But I'll never get good with the camera if I don't use it.

I got 7 wheats. A 64 washington and a 54 rosie. 1 1883 indian. 1 1888 better date V-nickle. 2 Old tokens one dated 1918 and the other a 1904.

I also got a really neat tag. Here is what it reads. No. 142 Rome Iron Works. N.G Hard. Must be some type of i.d tag I guess. I couldn't find any research on that co. So I don't know anything about it.

I also got a few newer gaming tokens. All in all a decent ammount of finds for the little bit of time I spent in the field lately. Hope you all like the pics.

Great, great finds, Jer! No guess on the what's it though... :P

Nana :)

Does it open up Jer?.....I see a pivot pin.....Sort of.Nice bunch of Find's,Congrat's on the silver....Think there's gonna be a real run of it this year. Can't ID the relic though....Good Luck!!

Thanks alot guys.

Yes it does open up to reveal what is inside. I was actuallt shocked when I got it home. While in the field I just assumed it was a piece of aluminum.

But when I realized what it was I said to myself this is one cool relic. I'm sure it will come to someone out there. If it doesn't I'll post what it is here soon with another pic of it open.

I'll take a guess....how bout a fold-out comb or razor blade?

JT, You got it man. I knew someone out there would know. Pretty cool relic. It's a first for me.

Here is a pic of it opened up.

Dang! That was fast JT! 8) I was just fixing to guess a hand fan. :P

Nice finds as usual Jeremy. Always a great assortment from you. I agree with you on the relics/tokens. I would rather find a unique item than some of the other more common coins. But I still like that V nickel and IH. ;D And of coarse there is just something about finding silver that is so addictive.

How is your brother Lance doing? Has he been doing much detecting? Tell him to get his butt on here and post some finds! ;)

You pictures look good. There is a photographing section here on TNET that you can get some good tips. Always interesting to see other people's picture taking setups. Some are a little elaborate but sure give good results.

Dan and I are going to checkout a new spot this weekend. I would just as soon wait but Dan wants to go so my arm has been twisted. :D

Awesome finds Jer and a real nice start to 2007! My first thought was a fold up comb. HH, Mike
