First post...First Silver

YES....My first silver find a 1944 S Mercury Dime for my first post. Found it in my yard along with other odds and ends including a portion of champagne cork cover with instructions! Seems fitting. Also found what I believe to be a brass strike plate with the number on the back possibly being 5384.

I have been looking at Treasure Net for quite awhile know, learning a lot along the way. Hope to post some of my more memorable finds from the past as I have time. I have a knack for finding some interesting items.

Congrats! It took me about 6 months to find my first silver coin (I did find a crushed silver ring first), but after I upgraded my Garrett GTI2500 to a Minelab Explorer XS I got my first silver coin pretty quickly. I'll never forget it! Actually two in the same hunt and they were Merc dimes 43 & 44 like yours! Next day I dug my first Barber dime Didn't even know what it was called! Hope you find many more nice things!
