Awesome circus train brings me good luck!
I saw the circus train Sunday! Ringling Bros., Barnum & Bailey went by on the tracks through Hollywood, Fl on the way to Miami. It's a big train! Maybe 50 or 60 cars. All the trucks and machines were on flat-beds, and then all the animal cars went by with the circus logo on the sides...it was fine. I was sorry when the train ended. It was traveling fast.
I was metal detecting at the time. I took it as a good omen, circus trains being rare and wonderful.
Shortly afterwards, a guy saw me metal detecting and engaged me to find his 18k gold ring, which took me about 30 minutes, and earned me a $50 reward. You can see that post and video here.
But a circus train is major good mojo, and the gods were not done smiling on me yet. Not long after I finished that job, I found my first platinum ring, which is also my first Tiffany's. It's a 2mm band, ring size 6.5, 4.84 grams, 3.13 dwt, .950 platinum. The day I found it, the melt value was $235. But Tiffany jewelry typically sells for a significant premium over melt value. The same model used Tiffany's .950 2mm ring is for sale online for $595.
The vdi on my spectrum eagle registered it as a small ring.
