My finds from a Loudoun County VA housesite over the weekend. Early in the morning of the first day, I dug my first civil war plate! A beautiful NCO or enlistedmans sword belt plate! Got a variety of buttons, from the 1760s, through the mid 1830s. Some are nicer than others, with the best being a one piece flower button from the 1830s. Also got two interesting silver items, lead filled and silver plated oak leaves and acorn. No idea what they were. Also got my mitts on some fresh sheds and a musket nose cap. Dad supplied a belt keeper, one of two he found at the house site during the 1990s. All in all, very happy with my trip this weekend! Feel free to ID anything you’d like!

Great stuff. Not to hijack your post, but if anyone has an extra belt keeper like that one I'd be willing to buy or trade for it. I found a buckle like this one, but never found the keeper.

WTG on the plate, that's banner all day long!

FANTASTIC FINDS :) I have a question hope you do not mind sharing with us the SETTINGS you used to find the ANTLER SHEDS :) YOU sure had a wonderful time . Thank you for sharing with us :)
