Took the VSAT out today and stopped at a small basin near a culvert. Found a bullet on the second pass in a crack on the ledge and then got a good signal and found the mini picker. Was very happy for my first try at gold.

OUTstanding! Very nice. TTC

Thanks to all. I was really happy to score my first MD gold in a short time. I later took it to some crevices and pockets that I know hold small gold and flashed it over them to see if I could get a read on that size gold. It was an inconclusive so I panned them out and got very small color. I got it to squeal loudly on a piece of sidewall bedrock and I tore layer after layer off exposing a small trough inside the wall. I never found anything that I could point to as the cause of the squealing so I left it and will have to do more research on it to figure it out. Maybe just to much iron in the rock.

You da man! Awesome success story!

You answered the question.........Can that VSAT find small gold? You will do quite fine on larger pieces too!

AU thanks for all your help in putting me on this path. Shortened the learning curve tremendously. Now looking for the bigger stuff.

Congrats for sure.
I need to head your way.

Now that AR gold doesn't stand a chance. Nice job mojo.
