Since we only had a heat index of 106 yesterday my friend and I decided to follow the old spanish
/indian trail to see what we could find.We came across an old chiminey stack and hunted around the house and found some old bottles and a door knob and some old nails and assorted cans/garbage.Back on the trail we found a creek turned off the detectors and searched around for sharks teeth and found buckets of fossilized snails clams ect.I found my 2nd nice sea biscuit today and then I found a large hog head(bottom jaw)and 300 ft away my buddy finds the top matching half with a pretty scary looking set of teeth on that boar. After finding no sharks teeth back the detectors go on.My second hit I got my first musket ball.It was about 8 inches down in some green clay.We abandoned the mds again and walked about 8 miles through some pretty thick stuff Looking for arrowheads,we found a couple of broken points but mostly just sweated a lot.Saw about a nine ft. black racer and spooked a deer on bed and on the way home a red fox.Pretty neat day,and did I mention the old grave yard,oh well anotherday.Sorry my^%#$&$#@% computer doesn't do pictures otherwise I'd have some pics. All in all a nice day with a good friend tearing up the country side.
