Hi everyone!! I haven't been doing much detecting lately (my schedule wouldn't permit it), but got out and about to a VERY good spot that marinedad knows. We hit it hard all day, with just a short break for lunch. I ended up finding 2 silvers for the first time ever!! The days totals (for me) included 2 silver Roosies ('46, '53D); 7 wheats ('44, '48D(x2), '50D, '52D, '57D(x2) not pictured); '85 Canadian cent (not pictured); and a Joliet park district member/resident tag. Clad totaled $5.18. The only bummer was that I scratched both of the Roosies. In my defense, however, the loose, sandy soil on this site really messed up depth and pinpointing on my machine. I believe the 7 wheaties are also a new one day record for me . A BIG thank you to MD for hosting me at such an awesome site. We need to hit it again soon!! Pics below. Enjoy; I sure did!!
