I finally decided to take the detector with me to soccer practice, and scan around before and after. I only looked about 10 minutes before practice, and only found 2 pennies and a quarter. After practice, I did find some more coins, but about a half hour before dusk, I found this 1916 Mercury Dime (Unfortunately it is not a "D" series......) about 3-4 inches deep! Super happy to finally find a coin other than your standard Pennies, Nickels, Dimes, and Quarters. Happy Hunting all!!!!!!!! :icon_thumright:

Hope the next one is a "D". Great find anyway!

Very Nice , I see more Merc's in your Future-goldnugget-Charlotte,N.C.

Congrats on your first. "close" only counts with horse-shoes and hand grenades.

Great silver! Too bad it's The surprised kind "O" instead of the laughing one "D"! So close!
