What's up guys only had about 30 min to hunt today and stopped by a road side park from the 40's. I found my first mercury dime with my new e-trac and also got my first older coin spill. The mercury dime was first and it's a 1918 S. I still had a signal in the hole with my Sun Ray probe and pulled out this 1924 wheat, and then this 1949 nickel.

Thanks for looking, SP

Thanks guys.

Cool finds! That is one worn Merc there!

Nice spill ,it seems a little unusual teens Merc 20s penny and a 1949 nickel ,should have been a Buffalo . but good enough

That's cool, so that wheatie was in circulation till 1949, wow :)

Yeah the park was was built in the 40's, so it doesn't seem all that strange. I still find wheat pennies in circulation now, and you can tell that the merc and wheat are badly warn. I was hoping for a buffalo but the 49 came out instead. Lol

Great find. Was there a lot of trash to deal with?

Yeah, there was tons of trash! I wasn't even digging the nickel signals but when I found that dime and penny I figured it was going to be a nickel.

Wheats are hard to judge by, i got a 1920 wheat in a box of Pennies the other day, and it was in good shape...Thats great the Merc still has a date on it, the ones i find that worn are practically dateless

Great Finds!!!

Not bad for 30 mins and lots of trash. Good job! HH

Wheats are still in circulation today right? All are very nice finds, HH Adjove.
