I bought this Whites Bullseye Pinpointer yesterday afternoon and was anxious to get out and give it a shot. I had a few hours before I needed to be at work and there are these two huge oak trees next to this pond where I work. These are the biggest oaks I have ever seen and since they were next to this pond it made it a geat landmark. After optaining permission from my manager (who laughed and said I don't care) I walked down to the pond to give it a shot. After the rain we got the past few days the ground was wet so digging was going to be easy. I started to work my way to the threes and found some scrap chain link fence and an engineer stake (which I tossed in the trash can so I would find them again). It started sprinkling and I did not want to get wet so as I made my last round by the first oak tree I got a signal. So I could not leave yet because it might be someones buried treasure. So I started digging and the pinpointer got me right on target and I found this rusty folding pocket knive. The blades are rusted shut and one blade was in the open position and the blade was broken about a half of inche from the handle. I fugured a kid was throwing his knife at the tree and he broke the blade and left the knife for me to find years later. Was not a find like I see on TN but my first so I am happy. I know my day will come when I find something worth putting in a case. Attached is a picture. Thanks for reading and happy hunting. Looks like rain this weekens so again I am stuck indoors.
