Had another day off, completed my "Honey-Do" list and brought along one of the older twins, as he recently fractured his foot, is getting bored and needed some time away from the Ponderosa. We both brought along our favorite instruments and had a blast!

Here's looking straight out into the water and ice. We previously stopped at a different place, only to find the ice and snow right up to the tree line. I hunted the beach first, then after getting hot and sweaty, I was ready for a water hunt.

So after about 50/50 on water and on land, this is what I finally filled my pouch with. Lots of junk. This isn't really prime area for a PI, but I did want to use it today and I also wanted to try my new "MONSTER SCOOP" which I recently bought. It's extra large size allowed me to dig less holes. :)

I did luck out and find one ring with a dark blue stone of some sort. It appears to be gold, but there are no stamp marks on it. I really should get one of those gold testing kits.......

Another darn good day at the beach......now if only that ice would go away!

Reminds me of my hunts along the shore and having ice flows mess with my open water hunts. Very nice pics. More good luck to ya.

Thanks Sandman.....This ice should be gone in a couple of weeks. We have had a late winter this year.

Great finds. How does your ace perform in the dry sand and have you used it in the water yet?

Fishstank

The ACE performs flawlessly in both the dry sand and water. I often use the sniper coil/Ace detector along the cut at the waters edge.

I am in the market for a new machine to use on saltwater beaches as well as in the water.I am looking at the Infinium. Have you used it in saltwater and if so how did it work.

I used the Infinium in some salt water last year at several different beaches. It was great. One of the beaches was so mineralized that the an Excalibur had difficulty, yet the Infinium was as quiet as can be. Below is a quick slide show of my finds last year using my Infinium (in case you haven't seen it)

Nice finds. I'm sold, now to find the best price on the Infinium.
