Got out on Friday AM and 2 hours this afternoon. One IHC came each day.....an 1883 on Friday and an 1867 today. The Indian Burial ground continues to give them up.

Nice IHP`s there! Once our 40" of snow melts and the ground thaws, I hope to find a few too, hopefully that will happen before June!:BangHead:

Nice indians! Congrats:icon_thumright:

A couple of nice old ones, congrats! :occasion14:

Nice tribe there Ya Ta Hey I always think of that old commercial with the Indian with a tesr in his eye picking up litter when someone posts a IH guess it stuck with me. Well done

Something about IH coins that are so cool

Were you an injun scout in a previous life?? :laughing9: You seem to find 'em without much effort!! Nice job, McCDig!!

love Indian head pennies. i have a large collection, however have not found any with my detector yet.

Thanks washingtonian. Not sure about 2018, that's a research project for later, but 2019 stands at 22.

Thanks Chuck! I think this speaks more to the fact that this park opened 1860, so 2 generations dropped their cents (Indians) before we got to wheats. I was, and still is, the largest central park of the City. There are IHCs anywhere here. It is truly amazing how many have been dug over the last 50 years.

Went through posts for 2018 and the IHC count came to 35; many of the spots I hunted last year would not have held any Indians. Looking through the posts it was either Clifton Park, Riverside or Druid in Baltimore City that produced most of these.
