If you found all that in about an hour you should bring a trailer to load your finds on tomorrow. They look to have River stain. Or is that just the material? Nice points.

Everything i have found hear lately is in a man made lake that is fed by a river it was recently drained about 4 months ago due to a dam issue it has many flat top ridges that run out into the lake toward the river channel many of the points or parts i find are almost black with stain i usually try and clean them up before i put them on here . Problem is 90 % of what i have found is broken for some reason. I would have thought being in a lake they wouldn't be broken up so much

Cool hunting spot. Time can be real tuff on things. Is it possible that area was farmed before it was flooded. Or if its a machine dug man made lake the high spots are probably bulldozed material. I personally wouldn't clean too much of that off.. sometimes that is a desired patina. Either way.. it shows their age.

I don't think it was farmed but i could b wrong when they made the lake they cut the timber out of where the lake was going to fill to and then dammed up the river to fill it. The whole lake is full of stumps even the ridge tops ive been looking on still have some old stumps on it. Most of what ive been finding lately are along the edges of the ridges in wash outs where the soil is washing away to the clay when it rains . As far as cleaning them off thanks i never thought about that.

Might have been ancient breaks as well. Not uncommon at all as they did not loose as many as we think. Many we found were discarded after use. To easy to make a sharp fresh one if material was available. Are you seeing any pottery sherds?

I have found what looks like some type of pottery or bowl pieces but i know its not made by indians. The lake was built in 1940 i have heard that the last time it was drained in 1981 there were tons of artifacts that were found i heard there was even whole pieces of pottery found

Well I have a place like you have told where you found those. I believe the heavy machines while digging probably rode over them and busted many just like some I find. Once in a while a whole one will pop up just when you dont expect it. And the dirt levels are mixed up as well and thats the reason I find so many different periods in that spot.
