Went out this morning to a recently turned under tobacco field that good friend's cousin owns. He told me that his cousin eyeballed a 1850's coin there last year. He wasn't sure what kind of coin it was, but I was chomping at the bit to get out there. Lots of old brick and glass/ pottery shards out there. mostly 1930's - '40s stuff, but there was some much older glass and pottery mixed in. Was only out there 2 hrs. Found some copper tubing, valve stem, silver solder, and what appears to be an air rifle front sight, melted lead and a small buckle. Not sure how old the buckle is. Sorry for the essay, but it felt REAL good to get out and hunt. Thanks for looking, Mr.b
