So, Searchdeep invited me to a historical site, forgotten by time. A plantation with several structures that do not exist anymore. Search deep found some musket balls. Their age to be determined. Also, a very old chain, and chain- like apparatus. I hope he posts it so someone can identify it. Looks interesting!! I found half of a double blade axe and a flattened cowbell. I just didn't feel like bringing them back. Very rusty. Maybe later. Within an hour I found an 1887 V nickel only about 3 inches deep in the middle of the dirt road. It is very, very red. Ten came for wheaties under a huge oak tree. Looked like a perfect spot to relax and drink a beer. Probably when the pockets emptied. 1942D, 1957D, 1946, and 1941. They look horrible because of being right on top of the ground. Frustrated by just getting hits near the surface, I decided to experiment in a different mode. I switched to relic mode and started finding all sorts of deep targets. Anywhere from 6 to 12 inches. I got a small hit, 11 inches at a +43. Seemed like I dug forever, but it paid off. An 1837 capped bust half dime. The earth was kind to it...probably a grade of Fine.

The problem is trying to post pics. My iPad takes terrible pics. If someone knows how I can take a pic with my phone, send it to my treasurenet account so I can post them let me know. I'm clueless. Remember, I only have phone and iPad. Thanks!!

Sounds like you had a productive outing. Hope you can get the pictures up. Congrats.

Download the TreasureNet app from the App Store. It works great on the iPhone for sending pics from your phone.

Do you receive email on your ipad? If so take the photos with your phone and email them to yourself on your ipad then post your photos. Congrats on the half dime. Look forward to seeing it.
