First hunt of 2015, first day out with the DEUS

I had about 4 hours to test drive the XP today. I did what everyone suggested and started with Basic one and just left it that way and dug all the signals. I have to say I'm blown away! I've hit this place probably 25 to 30 times with the AT Pro and found some good things but this is awesome!! I did have one issue, not with the DEUS but my Makro Pointer go's nuts anywhere within range of the DEUS. Is this normal and is there a way to fix this?? My Pro Pointer doesn't do that... Anyone else have that?? I can't wait to get out there again..

Wow! That is a serious haul of finds considering you've been over that area so many times! That gun looks so real!

My propointer can give me fits if I'm using 4K and as sens gets higher...have to point the Deus away from the hole when pinpointing. If you can't change the settings on your Makro and changing Deus freqs doesn't help, then you'll need to just keep them apart if you want to keep using it. I recently got a Deteknix XPointer...no falsing and no chatter.

Not a bad 4 hours at all, i found it a bit weird that i got so many pennies and no other coins. Either they aren't there, or i found them all with the AT Pro lol. I have to look at my Makro pinpointer book, i think there is a way to stop it from picking up the detector. I can see the detector picking up interference from the pointer, but not the other way around, strange... The gun was a surface find, from a distance i thought it was the real deal. My favorite find today was the pewter spoon, i think it's missing the middle of the handle. I had fun today, can't wait to get out again and learn this machine..

Not sure you will have luck adjusting the makro pointer. Keep the coil as far away as possible on the dig. Works for me anyway.
