First hunt of 2012...broke into the 1800's
What a short and mild winter this year. Downtime was only November until today...I wish every year was like that! Anyway, today was great. I got out for 2 hrs, and was able to dig a bunch of good signals. The ones that were still too frozen I discreetly marked with golf tees, can't wait to check those ones out on the weekend.
The first coin today was the 192?d wheatie. I'm going to post it on the coins forum to see if the experts can tell me more about it. I found some modern coins, and then the two V nickels. 1910 and 1899, I was so happy to find some oldies on my first hunt. It's been great to see all the great finds everybody has posted on here for the past months, and now I'm so glad to be out there diggin' again!
