The ground is still frozen in iowa. I live next to a public park. It isnt an old park but I have been dying to try out my new at-pro so I thought id give it a try. The mulch was still frozen but workable in some areas. The grassy areas were to hard to dig. The kids and I spent an hour and a half and found $0.82. We couldnt dig half the targets due to the frozen ground but we have a lot of fun. It just got dark or we would still be out there.

AWESOME !!! good for you guys !! i did the same thing here in ny... lol frozen solid but was able to snag semi surface targets !!!

Determination is a wonderful tool to have in your arsenal of metal detecting tools. Hang in there !!

I wont be shocked if I actually have a dream about metal detecting tonight. We were actually celebrating when we found our first quarter. Cant remeber being that excited over twenty five cents. In fact the very first penny was such a rush. It is kind of surreal pulling a coin out of the ground.

Still a nice haul for frozen ground!

I know the filling on the frozen tundra I'm live on the western side of Iowa. Did try four days ago and had some luck. Have to post later on the finds. Hoping tommorow works out good.
