finally got out for about an hour. Ground was frozen but still managed .53 cents. Two quarters (same hole) three pennies all new. Things were going along until I decided to go off the beatin path, went into the woods looking for what no one else has found yet(i didnt find it) however I did manage to fall on my arse really hard. Feet flyin in the air screwdriver (BIG for diggin) went flying and down I went and felt a cold gush down my shirt,BLOOD??!! nah too cold. Layed therefor a minute to catch my breath and then got up and checked body parts, all there no bigassscrewdriver stickin out of me anywhere so i gather up my non broken detector find my BAS and think thats it im goin home, but then the ADDICTION kicks in and says. HEY you just busted your arse and your going to run home like a dog with its tale between its legs,OH NO YOUR NOT, you turn that detector on and get to detectin there buddy. So I did what my addictive metal detecting self told itself and got on with our hobby(addiction) lol. I hope the rest of you are doing well and be careful out there, good luck in 2014, apperently ima gonna be needin some health insurance this year since common sense isnt showing up any time soon, and its only my first hunt, .53 cents the hard way, probably get run over by a car when i find $1.06. LOL Been there, glad u didn't get impaled!

Yep, that addiction can be strong! ;) Makes us do stuff we, looking back, can't believe we ever even thought about doing.

But, on the other hand, like the pioneers, (whose stuff we're seeking), they'd just dust off their britches and keep a goin'. That spirit is still alive and living in detectorists everywhere. LOL

Keep at it but stay safe!
