Metal Detecting
I found myself with a few hours of free time yesterday evening, so I made it out to a spot that may have been a small loading dock, or maybe a ferry landing, in the 1800s to do some detecting. I dug up about $2 in clad, snagged x4 1950s wheat cents (not shown), a mystery item that may be a part to an old phonograph (the trademarked word “Victor” is visible), and a Charles IV Spanish 1 reales.

Hopefully, I’ll be able to get out and do more detecting than I’ve been able to do over the past few months. Anyways, thanks for reading and happy hunting.

Nice Spanish silver!!! The other is a tip to a welding or cutting torch.

Congratulations on the nice silver! :occasion14:

That Charles IV 1 Reales is awesome!!! I got my first one 2 weeks ago 1801 1/2 Reales Charles the IV Mexico. I love seeing those pillars, crown and shield. Congratulations

Sweet finds, and a great doohickey to boot!

Nicely done, and all the best,

Lanny
