First half dime!!!

After 1 hour with no signals at all , heading back towards the truck hit both bullets then 20 ft away the 1844 half dime . After dancing around and basking in the glory of my find I pick up my pin pointer and detector and 2 feet away a crazy looking ring , not sure what the outside is made of but ring itself is silver. Good 2 hour outing

Those half dimes are fun to find aren't they! I too have found some good stuff on my way back to the truck. I think I will try a new hunting technique next time out. I won't turn mt detector on until I get a good way from my truck, then I will hunt back to it. That ought to save me a bunch of hunting time!

Many years at this and still no half dime. Several seated dimes but no halfs. Congrats on a great hunt.
