Dug my first Half Cent today. "1805" at 12". I had a lesche ground shark buried up to the foot peg. Very impressed by the 5x8" coil on the AT Pro. IMAG0206.jpg Had another consistent good sound a few feet away and pulled up a buckle from same depth.IMAG0207.jpg adding couple more pics. The Face is pretty worn.IMAG0209.jpgand watch 1803 change to 1805IMAG0210.jpgand the back.IMAG0208.jpg

Looks like an 1803 to me too! Wish I could see a date on mine! Great find!

I've never found one. Congrats!

That's a really good find - Half Cents are a rare American type coin to find metal detecting , Very Nice Find !

Looks like good detail on he half cent. Can u give us a clean version of it?

Excellent recovery of a pretty uncommon coin. Hope to find one some day myself. Maybe Monday when the temperature is expected to hit 60 degrees and SUNNY!

Insulated Carharts coveralls, Ski mask, Mickey Mouse boots. I was actually over dressed and warm. I think it hit 26° yesterday. I'm envious.

Yours is in better shape than mine. I found an 1804 last year, & the only way I could date it was because of the configuration of the stem on the reverse. The field was not kind to mine.
