Very productive day! You must wear a back pack!

Thanks men ;) I always where my army fatigues so I have lots of pockets ;) lots of rain helped me out as well

For sure a Dickson good call on that ;))

Like the one in picture 7. Looks like you had a good time. What would you call all the ones in the last picture? Preforms/ blanks or any kind of tools?

I would call them all the above haha I try not to think to much for they could b used as tools as well so all I can do is call them large bifaces ... I love finding those big ones and that larger one is one of the biggest I have found in a long time . I would say the two smaller ones would b preforms but who knows . Thanks for your time

Real nice hunt today painter.
Love finding those quarry blanks too.. they look great in a display showing the progression of stone tools from quarry to spall..biface..ect..

Thanks GB I can't wait to get a few more frames !!!!

I have trouble putting a name on a lot of my stuff. Of course everyone has their own ideas and speculations as to what tools were for what, but only the hands that made it could tell you what they really did with it. I run into that a lot with cores/choppers/hand axes. Some of my buddies will give me a hard time for hauling around a bunch of "cores" but when i see they have been worked to a definite edge, not just some random flakes knocked off, i see more of a tool for chopping, breaking bone etc. maybe I can post some examples in a new thread if anyone would like to take a look

I think that would be a great thread Texas ;)

Thanks on the good call:icon_thumleft:... I can't tell but if #7 were pictured from directly above the Arrowhead I could see more what it is. I tell ya what the new 13th edition Overstreet ID & Price Guide is well worth the 20 some dollars you pay for it. It has more and newer Arrowhead examples.

I still have yet to get the price guide I want one just haven't got it yet my friend has it memorized lol

They all look good but #9 really stands out for me. You had a great hunt boss!

Thanks rock it looks like a backed knife kinda crude but cool eitherway ;)

You certainly are having great luck :) Keep up the good work - & have FUN!
