Went to a high school baseball field a few days ago with landstar and got real real lucky.
Only had been hunting for about 15 mins before finding gold. Got a pretty solid consistent low tone nickelish reading so i started digging. About six inches down... a glimmer. Gold chain with a few charm pieces of something still on it. I didn't want to get too excited cus you know who ever really expects to find gold in the ground. The first charm i read on the chain was 10k gf ok not bad. The chain i couldn't make out what it was made of exactly but once the clouds broke and the sunlight shined on it i really didn't have to wonder anymore. The other charm was just a gold triangle but it looked like it had another piece so i decided to hit that spot again. Slow sweep of the coil and got another pretty low tone. Now my heart is really starting to race.
About 2-3 inches to the left of where the chain was i found the other piece of the charm. So i stood up proud thinking i got everything that gold chain could have offered me. I filled the hole back up and made sure it was metal free one last time. So i thought! Same strong low tone i had been getting! One more dig brought up the ring.

besides the 10 k gf charm total weight of the 14k gold was 14.5grams chain, broken charm and ring are all 14k.
Who needs a pinpointer?
All i can say is thanks JB!

Or jonas brothers. Odds are they would like it either way though.

If the charm is marked 10K GF, it is not gold. GF stands for Gold Filled. Hopefully the other items aren't marked GF or other markings for them being plated.
