First gold ring!

Was out of town for a few days when my assistant took a call from a farmer who heard i was in to metal detecting and wanted to know if I would look for his wedding ring. He was sure he had lost it while pulling beans out of the combine head and they had marked off the area he cleaned it out. It took about as long to ground balance and determine my as grid pattern as it did to hear the loud double ding of metal on the ground. Saw 62 on the at pro and let him use the carrot to pull it out of a clump of bean stalks. What fun!! HH

I thought about photos then I found it and was on my way home before I got a chance. I doubt he would have posed though as an old school farmer his thanks was quiet and brief but he certainly was appreciative. I just forgot as I was pretty excited. Now I need to find one that was lost before last week!
