At a park today and I decided to try out the iron audio on the AT Pro. I found this lovely 14k men's gold ring. Sorry they are blurry. I'm shaking a bit from my first valuable find!

That's a beauty, congrats!

Where @ in the park & what vdi did it ring up at?

Thanks for sharing :occasion14:

Excellent gold ring! Toss that in your treasure chest! :treasurechest::headbang:

Question for you. Do I read the inside right? GB 14KP?

If so the 14KP stands for 14Karat Plumb. 14K rings sometimes have 13.6 - 9 or over 14K in them. 14KP means EXACTLY 14K. No more and no less. As long as it doesn't say RGP or HGE, you are all set. Nice ring.

It rang up as a solid 60 at 2 inches and I found it along an extensive running path that gets high traffic.

What does GB stand for? The things I find on google are: Great Britain origin, Gold Bonded which is basically plated, and Gold over Base which I've read is also plated.

Interesting. I was assuming makers initials. You MIGHT want to have that one tested. I have found hundreds of gold rings and have never heard of Gold Bonded, BUT it makes sense.

It could be Gold Bonded 14K Plate maybe. Again I have a lot of experience with gold and have never heard of that way to identify it. Please get it tested for free at a jeweler there and let us all know. I would bet most other hunters of gold have never seen those initials either.

Good luck

Congrats on your first gold! Now you'll be digging everything to get your next one.

one day i hope to find one. The MD gods are just toying with me at the moment. Great job! I envy all of you finding gold rings lol! Get yourself and acid testing kit! They come in handy

Way to go!!!
