First Gold Ring

I just started digging nickel hits a few months back. Your always hoping to find a V , buffalo or war nickel. Today I got a big surprise with a 1.5 gram 14K gold ring. The first of many more I hope. I believe the other item in the photo is a AU bird band from 1985.

Great find. And like others are suggesting, you are heading in the right direction, but you've got to get to a point where you dig everything in order to get some good gold finds. Some days are a beat down, but you'll soon start getting lots of gold. Happy hunting!

Very nice wedding band. I've never dug one but look forward to the day I see something shiny and gold peeking back at me from the bottom of the hole or stuck in the plug.
